After receiving my BA in English from Oberlin College, I took a hiatus from formal education and spent September 2010-November 2012 as a Peace Corps Volunteer in southwestern Ukraine, teaching secondary English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) to grades 2-11.
I have been in London since January 2013 and since being here have completed various qualifications (CELTA, MA in English, DELTA) and have held a variety of part-time English teaching jobs. Now I’m teaching ESOL to migrant women in the Women’s Programmes of an east London charity.
I love traveling, exercise, reading, writing, singing, and good conversation (among many other things). My favorite spices are cinnamon, nutmeg, and cumin, and my favorite color combination is black and red. I take my coffee with milk but no sugar.
This is my “world education.” Please join me on my journey.

**All my photos and blog content are original unless otherwise stated, so please do not repost them without citing me and linking back to my blog or the original post. Most of my photos up to November 2014 were taken with my Canon PowerShot SD850 IS camera; since then, most photos come from my iPhone 6.
I enjoy writing about healthy living (exercise — especially running and yoga — and nutrition), travel, food (cooking and eating), classical music, language and literature. I have contributed travel tips, recipes, and other interest pieces to EntertainingYourself.com.
